DAY 4 | States: CO & CT

DAILY TOPIC: Leadership

PRAYER FOR LEADERSHIP

We pray for wisdom and strength for the President, his cabinet, his administration, and his family. We ask that Your Holy wisdom penetrate the thoughts and decision making processes of those in positions of authority. Help all those in authority to recognize they are accountable first to You. We ask You to instill in our leaders an awareness of the Godly heritage of this country and their responsibility before You to honor and preserve it. We ask for leaders in all walks of life who sincerely hunger for truth and strive for sacred honor in all they think, say and do. We ask You to guide and guard their motives, desires and plans.

  • First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all those who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way (1Timothy 2:1,2).

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL

Lord, thank you that the President recognized Jerusalem as the Biblical capital of Israel and moved our Embassy. We pray for peace and prosperity in Israel, and ask for an end to the violence and suffering. We pray for justice, and Your sovereign righteousness over Israel. We pray for mercy and Your Kingdom to rule over the land. Please protect the soldiers and civilians from bloodshed. Give wisdom to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Knesset (The legislature of Israel). May Israel remain strong, not dividing the land You gave as an inheritance to Your chosen people. May the United States continue to fully support Israel, the nation that gave us salvation through Jesus Christ.

  • Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, may they prosper that love thee (Psalm 122:6).

Day 4 - Article 3
Article 3 of the Constitution sets up the judicial division of the federal government. The article was ratified on 17th September, 1787 together with the rest of the constitution. At the Constitutional Convention, the participants wanted a justice system and therefore decided to create Article 3 about judicial branch. This branch consists of 4 different courts: Supreme Court with national jurisdiction, Courts of Appeals, District Courts and Court of International Trade. There are 12 Geographic based courts of Appeals and 1 for the Federal Circuit. On the other hand, there are 94 District Courts in 50 states which also include Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia along with their subsidiary bankruptcy courts. All these federal courts have power to make decisions on just those cases over which the constitution authorizes them to. Most of these courts are located in the larger cities.
Prayer: We pray that the justice system in America will uphold the Constitution and enforce righteous laws.
